Seminar Series

presentation

The Science Park – Research Division currently sponsors four seminar series. These series, including lectures by both invited scientist and staff investigators, offer an opportunity for staff scientists and trainees to remain abreast of current advances in cancer research and biomedical science. These seminars can be video conferenced to other M. D. Anderson departments upon request.

The Mike Hogg Distinguished Lecturer Seminar Series is a formalized seminar program featuring outstanding scientists. Guest speakers for this series are chosen by a departmental committee, and seminars are held monthly September through May.

The Center for Research on Environmental Disease (CRED) Seminar Series invites both internal and external scientists on subjects that are relevant and timely. The CRED series sponsors an average of 24 seminars each year. In addition to invited speakers, this series also provides video conferenced seminars from various research focus areas, including the DNA Repair Group and the UT Austin Toxicology Series.

The Department of Carcinogenesis Seminar Series hosts an average of 15 seminars per year. Faculty members are encouraged to invite speakers for this series whose research interests relate to their own particular areas of research.

The Science Park - Research Division Faculty Seminar Series features a faculty member each month, September through May, to present current research in their laboratories.
