Hong Yan

Graduate Student

 

Hong Yan got her Bachelor's degree in Public Health from the School of Public Health, West China University of Medical Sciences in 1995. Then she worked in the Department of Epidemiology at Wuhan University School of Public Health. In 1998, she then entered the graduate program at Wuhan University and earned her Master's degree in Occupational and Environmental Health Sciences in 2001. After that she worked as an Instructor at Wuhan University School of Public Health. From 2005, she started to pursue a Ph.D. degree in Occupational and Environmental Health Sciences in Wuhan University School of Public Health. Her research focused on mechanism of benzene toxicity. Since January 2008, she joined the Tang lab as a Research Scholar. Her current project is to explore the mechanism through which cancer stem cells (CSCs) are resistant to chemotherapy.
