Jichao Qin, Ph.D. Post-Doctoral Fellow |
Jichao Qin earned his Ph.D. degree in Cancer Biology from Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2004. One year later, he joined the University of Minnesota and then moved to University of Nebraska Medical Center with his mentor. Jichao proceeded the research of signal transduction in chemoprevention. Two parts of his findings in his research studies will be published in Cancer Research soon and will be organized into another first-author paper respectively. Dr. Qin became aware of the hypothesis of Cancer Stem Cell (CSC) and was intrigued by it, so he then joined Dr. Tang’s lab in April of 2007. Now his research project involves the tracking of putative Cancer Stem Cells in solid tumors using lentivirus in an attempt to explore some basic phenomenon and mechanisms in putative Cancer Stem Cell research. Jichao is currently supported by a renewed DOD Post-Doctoral Fellowship
