The Science Park - Research Division Library maintains a collection of 30 active scientific journal subscriptions and houses 85 closed subscriptions, representing the most critical print resources for its scientific community. The Library also offers assistance with negotiating the site-wide access to 79 databases, over 4,000 full-text online journals, and over 41,000 online textbooks available through The UT M. D. Anderson Cancer Center Regional Medical Library in Houston, as well as information available in many other Internet resources. Two computers are available for patrons to access the ever-increasing online resources. The Library offers prompt document delivery of research articles and monographs not available in the Science Park - Research Division collection via an Inter-Library Loan agreement with the Research Medical Library in Houston. The Library offers training on the use of electronic networks for scientific research, including accessing information from a researcher’s office; bibliographic database searching instruction; development and use of personal bibliographic databases using EndNote; and retrieving full-text journal articles on-line. The Library also provides individualized semi-monthly bibliographic updates of new publications on specific topics, maintains a comprehensive database of Science Park - Research Division publications, and assists with Division-wide grant tracking and renewal. The Library is staffed with a librarian and is directed by Dr. Gerald Adair.
