Abstract Submission

As in past years, we will give the option to the abstract authors to submit their results for consideration ONLY as a poster, or as EITHER poster or platform presentation. The session chairs will choose among the "EITHER" category of abstracts those presentations for the four individual platform sessions held Friday night, Saturday morning and afternoon, and Sunday morning. Those submitting abstracts for consideration as "Either" poster or platform will be notified of the decision by October 19.

If your abstract is selected for a platform presentation, we are fully equipped for PowerPoint presentations, using either Mac or Windows, and we encourage people to use this presentation method. However, we will also have available a traditional 35 mm slide projector and carousels, and an overhead projector. You should bring your PowerPoint presentation on a Zip disk (100 or 250 MB), flash drive, or CD-ROM. If you require specialized software or for other reasons desire to do so, you may use your own computer if you absolutely must.

As has been the case for the last several years, all posters will remain on display throughout the entire meeting to provide maximum exposure, and we will have the posters displayed in alphabetical order according to the surname of the first author, with odd-numbered posters attended by their presentors on Friday night and even-numbered posters attended Saturday afternoon. This eclectic format encourages all participants to put their posters up on arrival (poster boards will be available after 3:00 pm on Friday, November 2) and participate fully in the poster sessions on Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Putting one's poster up earlier might bring more exposure for the work presented; we encourage EVERYONE, regardless of whether the poster presentation is on Friday evening or Saturday afternoon, to put up their posters upon arrival, and to arrive a little early to do so if possible.
