Conference Registration

Please note that it is not necessary to submit an abstract in order to register for the Conference and attend. The registration deadline, however, is the same as the abstract deadline, October 1, 2007.

This year, registration can be accomplished EITHER by filling out and mailing the enclosed registration form to: M. Fendley, UTMDACC/SPRD, P.O. Box 389, 1808 Park Road 1C, Smithville TX 78957; OR by on-line registration via this web site. If paying by check, please mail it to the address above with your registration form. If paying by credit card, you may do so on-line through a secure link (and immediately be furnished a receipt electronically), Checks should be made out to "2007 Lost Pines Conference." Additional registration forms may be downloaded from the website.

The cost for registration includes the Friday night barbecue, Saturday's lunch and banquet dinner, breakfast Sunday and poster-gazing refreshments Friday night, as well as various coffee/tea breaks. We will have live music ("The Gene-O-Tones"), fajitas, and a cash bar for the Saturday night banquet. Registration is $100.00 per individual for faculty, $75.00 for postdocs, and $60.00 for graduate students. Registration receipts will be provided at the conference for those who have not paid by credit card on-line. Payment for your room (and its reservation) will be your own responsibility. This meeting is a real bargain, and we hope that you will continue to support it with your attendance and abstracts. The meeting has a high information content, as we usually have 60-80 posters in addition to about 20 platform talks and, of course, the Keynote lecture Saturday afternoon.

Please note! Guest tickets for the Saturday night banquet (spouse, significant other, children over 12) will be available for purchase ($20) at the meeting. Tickets are required for non-registered guests to attend the banquet.

Each individual wishing to attend the 2007 Lost Pines Conference should complete and submit the registration form by October 1, 2007. If mailing the application, please submit all applications from a single lab together, if possible. If registering online, please enter the name of the faculty sponsor for each registration. We desire to foster the widest possible geographic and institutional participants, and to have a broad mix of students, postdocs and faculty. However, conference seating is limited to 175, and acceptance of your registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants submitting abstracts will receive priority for the conference; however, it is not necessary to submit an abstract to attend the meeting. If we are oversubscribed, Faculty Sponsors may be asked by phone to assign attendance priority.
